Samsung has been doing some crazy stuff over the years, remember the Samsung S6 Edge smartphone with two sloping slides? We must commend the Korean tech giant for daring to try out “kinky” stuff. And now they’re going to introduce some really interesting gadgets for your wrist.
Since May, we’ve had rumors about a smartwatch – allegedly the Gear A, aka the Orbis – that will have a rotating bezel. According to a recent report by Droid Life, the manufacture, during Tizen Developer event, has confirmed that their next smartwatch will feature a rotating bezel.
This bezel will allow for users to zoom in on things, zoom out, and even interact with games made for the Tizen OS on wearables.
We’re expecting to see the watch during Samsung’s upcoming launch even on August 13, where Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ could also be released.
Another patenting by Samsung tells us that, another, more interesting smartwatch is also in the works. It will have a flip screen that would automatically flip out of the band and adjust its orientation according the position of your face. This will make interacting with the watch easier.
The patent says the orientation will either change automatically, can be altered using voice command or a key button. Interestingly, the patent was actually filed back in December 2014 but published by the US Patent and Trademark Office on July 23.
