Now this folk named Gerrit Gödecke, who probably has a fancy for wristwatches or just accidentally spotted what could be the Moto 360 2, was quick enough to capture the watch with his iPhone. The gentleman wearing the watch has walked 8,188 steps… keep it up!
From the photos, the watch looks absolutely beautiful, complete and ready to hit the market. The lugs look a little bigger from those of the original Moto 360, which actually add elegance to the overall design. The bad news is that the black void at the bottom of the watchface aka the “flat tire” is still there.
Gerrit lives in Chicago, and spotted the watch on a commuter train frequented by Motorola employees. Here’s what he wrote in his Google+ post:
Did I just see the Moto 360 2 in the wild…?
On a Chicago commuter train (where you have a good chance of catching Motorola employees) a guy’s wrist caught my eye because of his smartwatch. Looks to me like a Moto 360 with traditional lugs. It matches the renders that became available earlier (incl. the button on the right side that has been moved up to the two o’clock position). Unfortunately it really looks like the flat tire is still there…
Here’s another picture of the watch:
While the smartwatch is likely to be unveiled at the IFA in a few days, it will probably be launched in September, when several other smartwatches including the Samsung Gear S2 are also expected to be introduced.
