Pebble Time Steel shipping date has been pushed back, but luckily not by much. The better-looking counterpart of the Pebble Time smart watch was supposed to be shipped by the end of the last month, but now Pebble has announced they’ll start shipping it starting the first week of August and will ship all the orders before the month ends.
That’s a bad news, but not too annoying because it’s just a matter of a few more days. Here’s a bad news that might be very much annoying:
The Pebble Time Steel is facing some roadblocks before it heads out of the company’s door. Due to some production problems with the metal band of the watch, backers will only get the leather band first. The metal band will be shipped later, and the company will pay the extra shipping cost. Though, some backers might get both the bands, no timeframe has been given by the company how long the backers might have to wait for the metal band.
While we can’t currently provide a 100% exact timeframe for when metal bands will arrive for any individual order, backers can expect us to be done shipping them by the end of September, if not sooner. As metal band availability improves, we’ll update everyone with the progress of those deliveries.
The backers were supposed to get both the bands, while the metal band will be sold separately for normal buyers.
