In the last post we talked about LG’s upcoming smartwatch; most probably the same watch appeared at the FCC yesterday. In fact, there are two models, with model numbers LG-VC110 and LG-VC200.
Both the smartwatches are square with round edges – just as we had said in our post. Interestingly, the watches have the same dimensions: 56mm x 41.5mm, but different screen size: VC110 has a 45mm screen while VC200 has a considerably smaller 33mm screen. Now that’s very strange.
Since the smartwatches include a CDMA radio that’s compatible with Verizon Wireless, they’ll most probably run webOS instead of Android Wear. What’s more, there is an audio mini-jack as well as a mini USB port on the back. They also include support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, as well as the usual Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
It was be a mistake that Bluetooth LE Test Report leaked pictures of the VC110, however, there are no pictures of the VC200 yet.
These smartwatches will most likely be unveiled at the IFA in a few days, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more details. Like our Facebook page to stay updated.
